Services

         Services Available Through CPPA

Sharon Schindler Rising and other staff, through the CPPA,
are available to provide consultation to individuals and agencies interested in obtaining more information on Centering. These services include:

• Informational Workshops

              These day-long workshops are offered to acquaint
              individuals and agencies with the concept of group
              prenatal care. This workshop is especially
              appropriate for those in established Centering sites
              and for students. The workshop provides an overview
              of CenteringPregnancy® and an opportunity to
              explore patterns of implementation. It also addresses
              "facilitative leadership".

• Instructional Workshops

              Instructional workshops are two days in length
              and provide individuals and agencies with
              more intensive information about the Centering
              Pregnancy® Program and the opportunity to
              work on problems specific to their individual
              situations. They can be sponsored by an
              agency, local chapter, or educational program
              with organizational help from Centering
              Pregnancy®. Agencies are encouraged to send
              several of those who are involved in the
              program to the workshop and to plan for follow-up
              consultation.

• Consultation

              Sharon Schindler Rising and other Centering
              leaders are available to individuals or agencies
              requesting help with assessment, implementation, or
              evaluation of Centering Pregnancy. This can be
              arranged hourly or by the day and is conducted
              through CPPA.
